ISE AVR Programmer
The ISE AVR Programmer is a simple USB programmer for AVR microcontrollers. It is based on the popular Pocket AVR Programmer from SparkFun, which in turn was based on the USBtinyISP from Adafruit. Unlike those predecessors, however, the ISE AVR Programmer has native support for powering 3.3V targets, in addition to powering 5V targets and also being compatible with powered (3.3V to 5V) targets.
- AVR programmer with USB interface
- Can power both 3.3V and 5V targets
- Compatible with powered targets from 3.3V to 5V
- Uses standard 6-pin ICSP programming header
- Includes USB and programming cables

The complete gEDA design files are available on GitHub.
When using the MRGui programming utility (Windows, Mac OSX), no additional configuration is needed as MRGui comes bundled with support for the ISE AVR Programmer.
If using the programmer with avrdude from the command line or another programming utility, you will need to provide the correct USB VID (0x1209) and PID (0x6570). The programmer uses the same protocol as the USBtinyISP. For avrdude, add the following lines to your avrdude.conf file:
id = "iseavrprog";
desc = "USBtiny-based USB programmer, https://github.com/IowaScaledEngineering/ckt-avrprogrammer";
type = "usbtiny";
connection_type = usb;
usbvid = 0x1209;
usbpid = 0x6570;
