Atlas HO Searchlight Signal, Single Head
ATL-70000090
Searchlights were used from the mid-1920s on many railroads, as they were a notable improvement over the semaphores of the time. Eventually, they fell out of favor because of their moving parts, which required inspection and maintenance, and many have been replaced as signal systems are upgraded to handle PTC across the US.
The Atlas HO-scale single searchlight signal is perfect to use with any of our SimpleSig line of boards. These signals can plug directly into any of our signal boards - no fiddly wiring and terminal blocks! If you need a bit more distance from the board to the signal, check out our extension cables for Atlas Signals.
This is Atlas part number 70000090.
